Weft insertion mechanism

The weft insertion mechanism of the projectile loom is a pick-picking mechanism, as shown in Figure 4-17. It accelerates the projectile holding the weft yarn to the pick-picking point in a non-impact manner.

The energy required for the shuttle picking mechanism of the projectile loom is generated by the torsion rod 4. When the cam 5 rotates, it pushes the rotor 7 on the three-arm rod 8 and makes the three-arm rod swing. When the three-arm rod swings, it pushes the square connecting rod 6, pulls the short arm 3, and rotates the shuttle casing 9. Since the front end of the shuttle casing and the torsion shaft are fixed, the torsion shaft twists, elastic stress is generated inside the torsion shaft, and elastic energy is accumulated. During the twisting process of the torsion shaft, the shuttle arm 2 is thrown along with the torsion shaft. The shuttle sleeve swings at the same time, causing the shuttle slide 1 to return to the left shuttle starting position. Until the three-arm rod 8 and the square connecting rod 6 are in the dead center position, that is, the swing center of the three-arm rod 8, the connection point of the three-arm rod 8 and the square connecting rod 6 and the connecting point of the square connecting rod 6 and the short arm 3 are three-point connected. When a straight line is formed, the twisting process of the torsion axis ends. When the cam 5 continues to rotate, the two rotors located on both sides of the cam contact the curved surface of the three-arm rod 8, causing the three-arm rod to rotate, destroying the swing center of the three-arm rod, the connecting point of the three-arm rod and the square connecting rod, and the square At the three-point dead center position of the connection point between the connecting rod and the short arm, the torsion axis begins to release the stored elastic energy. When the torsion shaft releases energy, it causes the shuttle casing to rapidly rotate clockwise, and accelerates the shuttle to be thrown out through the shuttle lever 2 and the shuttle slide 1. In order to absorb the residual inertial force of the shuttle mechanism during the shuttle picking process, A hydraulic buffer is installed on the projectile loom.
Projectile looms have different effective widths, different torsion shaft diameters, and different torsion shaft torsion ranges. The following is the torsion shaft torsion range of projectile looms, see Table 4-4.

As the weft insertion speed of the projectile loom increases, the initial flight speed of the projectile warp must also be increased accordingly, which requires the improvement of the acceleration mechanism of the projectile. The P7300 loom has been improved in the following aspects:
(1) Optimize the acceleration mechanism, improve the efficiency of the mechanism and increase the shuttle angle of the acceleration device.
(2) Optimize the shuttle picking cam curve to make the shuttle picking leisurely, harmonious and smooth.
(3) Use new steel pick rod.
(4) The torsion axis is further lengthened.
(5) The lubrication and cooling system of the shuttle box is redesigned, and the parts under heavy load and the parts at the bottom of the shuttle mechanism are specially directly lubricated.
