Hot air dryer——cylindrical hot air dryer
The rotary screen hot air dryer is mainly used for drying knitted fabrics, chemical fiber filament bundles and loose fibers. Its characteristic is that two or four actively rotating circular meshes are used to transport the fabric to be dried, and hot air is sprayed onto the fabric in the drying room and forced through the fabric for drying. As shown in Figure 5-39, the drying room is equipped with two circular meshes with a diameter of 1400mm. The circular meshes are made of 2mm thick stainless steel plates or steel plates with galvanized passivation treatment. The rotary screen is covered with punching holes with a diameter of 3mm, and each side of the rotary screen is equipped with a set of heaters and centrifugal fans using water vapor as the heat source. The inner side of the non-working surface of the rotary screen is fixed with a sealing plate to prevent hot air from penetrating the mesh.
The fabric to be dried is fed to the working surface of the rotary screen at an overspeed through an overfeeding (overfeeding rate 0~19%) device, and As the rotary screen rotates, it is sent to the working surface of the next rotary screen. During this process, due to the suction effect of each rotary screen, the fabric is evenly penetrated by hot air and dried.
