In recent years, the demand for water-repellent, oil-repellent and easy-to-contaminate functional textiles in the international market has been increasing. The world’s largest clothing retailer GAP, the world’s largest retailer Walmart, American retail giant Tar29et, European retail giant H&M, world-famous clothing manufacturer Benetton and other companies purchase a considerable amount of clothing from my country every year. Such products.
1. Current status of water-repellent, oil-repellent and easy-to-remove products in my country
The overall quality of my country’s water-repellent (waterproof) and oil-repellent and easy-to-decontaminate finished textiles has been improving year by year. It now has a high level of technology and production, and production companies are increasingly aware of product quality testing and control. Based on the requirements of customers in the European and American markets, as early as 2006, in 9,340 tests of easy decontamination finishing effects, the failure rate was only 4.50%. This reflects the overall high level of easy-to-decontaminate finishing products in my country.
2. Anti-fouling and easy to remove and finish
Textiles will gradually become stained during use. Anti-fouling means that textiles will not be moistened by water-based dirt and oily dirt during use, causing stains, and will not absorb dry dust or particles on fibers or fibers due to static electricity. Fabric surface. The finishing that makes textiles antifouling is called antifouling finishing. Easy decontamination means that once the fabric is stained, the dirt can be easily washed away under normal washing conditions, and the fabric will not absorb the dirt in the washing liquid and stain it back. The finishing that makes textiles have easy stain removal properties is called easy stain removal finishing.
Anti-fouling and easy-to-remove finishing have been studied since the 1960s with the development of synthetic fibers, especially polyester fibers, and the increasing popularity of washable and wearable finishing. Polyester and its blended fabrics are easy to stain, but difficult to clean after being stained. At the same time, they are easy to stain during the washing process. Easy-to-decontaminate finishing can give the fabric good hydrophilicity, so that the dirt on the fabric can be easily removed during washing. Shedding also reduces the tendency to re-stain fabrics during the wash cycle. In the 1970s, the American 3M Company researched and developed a finishing agent with dual functions of antifouling and easy decontamination, which took the antifouling finishing technology a step forward. In recent years, many companies around the world have successfully developed finishing agents with dual functions of anti-fouling and easy stain removal.
We have officially become a partner of 3M Company in the United States. Customers who need to purchase 3M Company’s FC-226 “Scokojit” moisture-wicking and easy-to-remove stain are welcome to contact our sales representative.
2.1 Composition of dirt
Dirt can be divided into two types according to its form: liquid dirt (oil dirt, water, etc.) and solid dirt (sand, dust, etc.), but more dirt may be mixed dirt composed of liquid dirt and solid dirt.
Dirt on fabrics comes from both the human body and the environment. 1. Dirt from the human body is mainly the tissue cells of the skin and the sebum and sweat secreted by the human body. 2. Dirt from the environment is mainly dust in the air. In addition to inorganic particles, the dust also absorbs hydrocarbons emitted by cars, various fuel stoves and cooking. Food residues and colorants are also commonly encountered organic contaminants.
2.2 Reasons why fabrics are stained with dirt
(1) Physical touch, the fabric is contaminated with solid pollution (skin flakes), oily pollution (animal and vegetable oils) and aqueous pollution (sewage) through contact. The dirt that stains fabrics is mainly fine mineral dust and oily bodies. The degree of contamination is closely related to the type of dirt and the contamination conditions. The smaller the particles of dust, the larger the specific surface area, the more contact surfaces there are for contamination, and it is easier to hide in the fabric; the more irregular the shape of the dust, the easier it is to be embedded in the fiber surface and difficult to remove; the fiber is not smooth, The linear density is small, the surface is soft, and more dirt is contaminated; when there are oils, fats, or soft thermoplastic polymers on the fabric, dirt is more likely to be stained. p>
(2) Static effect, when not combined with oily substances, static effect is a major factor in fabric staining. Synthetic fibers themselves are very prone to generating static electricity, and the phenomenon of dust collection and contamination is particularly serious. The degree of dust collection depends on the charge and electricity carried by the fibers.
(3) During washing, solid dirt and oily dirt will be stained. The dirt on the fabric is mainly distributed between the yarns, the depressions and gaps on the fiber surface, and the pores between the fine wool fibers. Dirt on textiles is generally a mixture of liquid dirt and granular dirt. Liquid dirt acts as a carrier and binder for particles, making the stain more serious. Decontamination mainly involves removing oily liquid dirt. If liquid dirt is easy to wash away, then Particle dirt is also easy to remove.
