The new coronavirus is coming fiercely, and the epidemic is raging around the world. Through the efforts of the people across the country, our country has effectively controlled the spread of the epidemic and achieved great success, and the contribution of anti-epidemic materials such as masks and medical protective clothing cannot be underestimated.

At this stage, masks and medical protective clothing are in short supply, and due to the characteristics of non-woven materials, non-woven fabrics need antistatic finishing. Antistatic finishing agent is one of the indispensable raw materials for protective clothing and masks. The Texnology® NW16 antistatic finishing agent has been widely used in non-woven fabric manufacturing factories. So, why domedicalprotective clothing need to eliminate static electricity?

During the production process of medical protective clothing, light and thin chemical fiber fabrics can easily generate static electricity, which can cause sticking to cutting scissors, making operation more difficult and affecting production efficiency. At the same time, the static electricity generated can easily absorb dust in the air, causing secondary pollution and affecting the effectiveness of protective clothing;
After wearing protective clothing, it is easy to absorb dust in the air, especially viruses, increasing the risk of infection;
Static electricity is a potential unsafe factor in hospital settings; it may also affect the use of medical equipment and increase risks during treatment;
Because synthetic fibers have poor water absorption, they are prone to static electricity, which brings trouble to the fabric processing process. Static electricity can easily electrocute workers during operation, or cause the rolled cloth to be uneven and absorb dust and fiber lint in the workshop.

In order to eliminate these hazards, during the production process of protective clothing, the fabrics often need to be antistatically finished to give the fabric fibers a certain degree of hydrophilicity and moisture conductivity. In principle, it absorbs moisture and conducts electricity, or neutralizes positive and negative charges, thereby avoiding the hazards caused by static electricity in protective clothing.

Developed byTexnology®NW16Has been widely used as early as 2015Non-woven surgical gowns, medical protective clothingandIn the application process of masks, it canEffectively reduce the static charge and half-life in production and use; reduce the generation of static electricity during fabric cutting, sewing and other processing processes; reduce the generation of static electricity during the wearing or display of ready-made garments Accumulation; and has little impact on the anti-alcohol effect, it can be used for three-antibody finishing processing of medical non-woven fabrics.
